I had no problems at all last Saturday....Now this Saturday, I went through A because he accepts WU and I needed to use my credit card. I've never ordered from him before, but from past experiences with the others they pick up funds by 2:00pm EST and well, funds were not picked up until around 8:30 EST. I was told I would have tracking tonight, and paid a little extra to make sure I got the order on Saturday. I am just trying to stay positive right now. I've never had a bad experience with anyone for a Saturday shipment and I didn't order a ton or the stuff they are always running out of, so all I can do is hope it shows tomorrow, oh and he had funds were available yesterday evening, so it wasn't a last minute deal to beat the clock LOL! I will find out how well I like A tomorrow....LOL

how's the money gram thing working out for people. personally i haven't done it yet. but i understand " H "'s reason for going that route. any feedback would be appreciated.

I've always used moneygram because they don't hassle me or flat deny online transactions. WU will deny anything online going to these areas. IIRC MG is cheaper as well.

Never had a problem personally with it.

Now difference doing it in person the old fashioned normal way.. I don't think there is much. I've gotten money orders from both for other purposes and the only difference I ever noticed was they were different brands.

MG is the less advertised Western Union that isn't as strict, but is still very safe.. if that makes any sense.

Used MG today in person for an order from H. I will update.

Within 45 mins heard back with the usual "excelant" email.

H. has delivered for several people including myself, although he did not email me indicating such. Others told me he did email them with a TN.

I'm sure his plate was full (is full) with his backlog and didn't get to everyone and knows it is just important to get the package out.

Maybe he is back on track now with his turn-around.

When you use money gram online it gives you 4 options for the reciever to pick up money. Anybody know which one too pick? Thanx if you can help!

Not trying to be funny, but you can check my long reply about WU and MG online. Just be careful using MG online they are NOSY....it was like a credit check or something and none of my transactions were approved, but that doesn't mean you will have the same luck. There is a forum in here about MG and WU in this BI section that may help you. GL

I agree -- it is both MG and WU.

Thing is,.. if you talk to them on the phone they know when things look 'fishy'.. they KNOW it is medicine and so forth and will deny you.

I have had them blunt say to me on the phone that the person was known for illegal medicine. I don't think that was the full truth, I think they just put 2 and 2 together, see a random name, in a particular area and so on and assume this. So they 'power trip' and deny it.

So basically if it doesn't approve by itself, online, then it probably isn't going to work if you call. And it really isn't smart to call.

So doing this with cash at a location is the easiest way to make it 'work'. Online works, but as she just said, it can also just deny everything you try.

It annoys me when companies who simply make money from sending your own money electronically try to jump in and play 'good or evil' with the intentions of the money. Money is used for all sorts of 'bad' things from everyone who sends it to family, friends, etc.. The money we send is very likely used for 'good' things like taking care of family, mortgages, cars, building homes.. whatever. But I digress.. bottom line is they aren't in a position to 'judge' on speculation, but that doesn't stop the CSR's from doing it. So you just have to accept online is a crap shoot, and in person with cash is the only 'definite' way.
