Sent my MO for $250 overnight fedex ($20), faxed them a copy of my MO and a copy of the shipping label, and faxed my records. Felt like I jumped through 90 hoops! And was having major anxiety about sending so much personal info AND money to a faceless, voiceless service.

So far I've had no response, but that was all done this morning. In addition, I filled out the online Order Form on Friday night, and by monday morning (today) my initial account information was emailed to me.

I'm always nervous about sending cash in the mail, but am hopeful that the Ventura doc will be able to help me based on the positive feedback on her (thanks for the super detailed posts and updates Fermentia00).

I will add that I have had zero luck using their online instant chat - it always just sends me straight to a mailbox. Also unable to talk to anyone in person (I left one voice mail with no response). It says allow 2 days for "processing" on their FAQ, so I won't start freaking out until then! Sending a few positive thoughts into the ether can't hurt, right?

Will add my progress and feedback as it develops...

...I know its hard, but try and be patient. They seem to check their msgs/emails @ night. Any correspondence thru website is somewhat useless. But, while slllooooww, they are a good place. Lack of posts about them actually says a lot (good). Good luck. just dont expect anything to happen right away. Please let us know how it goes for you? Take care

Thanks for the nice reply, Hurtin! I have done a lot of research on this board, and this phone consultations seems like the best option for me. I will definitely keep all posted, but I'm thinking things will work out. Just have to white-knuckle through the pain until I hear from them...

Finally saw the Ventura doctor today and it went really well! During the two hour long session, she took a detailed history, looked over my records carefully, and did a pretty thorough physical exam. I felt like she listened to my concerns and questions, and offered salient information about my conditions. Even though she is a pain management doctor and is not afraid to prescribe meds, I never felt like she was giving me a hasty once over and handing me a prescription to get me out her door. In addition to the prescriptions, she had some useful, more holistic suggestions that I look forward to trying.

It WAS a long wait (almost 3 weeks to get in after submitting their online request form), and it did require me to compile all my medical records and fax them, but it was well worth the wait and hassle.

What a relief to see a compassionate, educated doctor who understands that sometimes serious pain calls for serious medication! VERY pleased overall! smile

Any update to the story, did you contact them again?

Records faxed and m.o. FedExed 08/09/09 6:00pm.
Recieved an e-mail with an appointment time 08/11/10 9:00am.
Appointment is for 08/13/10.

Will update with my F2F experience with the SF doc.

So far I haven't had to make any extraneous phone calls or send any e-mails to get a response out of these folks. I've recieved timely replies to all my e-mail inquiries thus far.

Wish me luck!

Sorry it took so long to post with my experience feedback.

The process was about as smooth as it gets. Initial contact to script = four days. The doc gave me a lot of good information, filled me in on some new pain management products, and I left with a script for exactly what I wanted. No judgement, no lectures, no hassles.

I'm sure individual experiences will vary with this type of process, as we're dealing with different docs in different states. Here in northern Cali, things went swimmingly, and I'm pretty pleased with how things went.
