Will they prescribe Schedule II medications or just the normal Schedule III meds most ROP's pharmacies offer?

i noticed they have a local number for my area, does that mean i have to go in to dee a doctor?...

Are you telling me that you every received a C-II drug from an OP, even a RO one? I find that very hard to believe. C-II scripts can not be faxed, sent electonically or called in. There are not refills on them without getting another script. Any OP (othe than the foreign ones where Adderal, Ritalin, MS Contin (MS Continuous) and Morphine IR) would be out of business in 2 days if they sold C-II.

No, they've got CS numbers all over, but there are not doctors in those areas. You DO NOT need to see a doctor. I used them for years while I was living in Nevada, Georgia, and California. The doctor I spoke to always, a Doctor Merkle, was in FL, as was their pharmacy, United.

If you are looking for a great ROP go to the OTN group. They are listed on here. Mike in customer service is the best . My wife uses OTN group. They call back and they write back within hours not weeks or never... They only ship watson brand hydro and their PA is wonderful. Phone consultation was the best on here when they had Dr Merkle. Not sure now but a friend of mine tried to use them a few weeks ago and their consult price is $175.00........Thats way way to high. Get a VIP pass and you will get $60 off your consult with the OTN group which means all you have to pay is $70 bucks...........Cant beat that because its more about customer service to me than price as long as its within reason......

They look great but unfortunately it looks like from their site you can only use them if you are in California, Pennsylvania or Texas. Looks like a great service.

I am considering going with this OCS because they offer an actual doctor appointment (face to face) in California. Could anyone tell me if they have used this service and how it went for you? Thanks. You can PM if you'd like.

I'm in OC about an hour away from LA. I am just not comfortable with the method of payment (cashiers check or money order up front). Makes them look very shady. Has anybody in So Cal used them recently? I would imagine if they are ripping people off someone would post something negative but I don’t see much positive feedback either. It looks like before they started doing face to face consultations they had some issues. Is there anyone with feedback?

Looks and sounds like they're doing the face to face thing.
I'd like to get away from the breath-holding every time I come up for a re-fill.

I'd definately think about a new Doc, but these guys want the $$ up front.

In a real business model for a face to face w/o referral, one brings the money to the Dr.'s appt...and from there they build a chart, go over older records..etc...

What do you people here think about this place?

Hey Bulldog, I'm in the same boat as you. I wish we knew more.
Docs on Demand has a place right around the corner from this one but it's monthly. You have to live in the state the Dr. is in to use them just to let you know.

Your good to go with them - they are very thorough. Used them in the past and they have been around a long time...

If anyone does use these guys, please share your experience. It would be very helpful for those of us trying to decide which way to go. If I decide to go w/them I'll let you know.

I used them for the first time last week. The doctor was really impressive, spent a lot of time with me, we went over my records very thoroughly. Gave me really sound advice for dealing with my condition, and scripted me the meds I had been previously taking (norco) 90 count with 2 refills.

Great experience.

They took my $250, and thats the last I ever heard from them. Please avoid. I am very weary of the good reports, as most of these people registered on the same month and year.

I am not a Shill, and a quick look at my posts over the past 2 years will confirm that I have used a few services over that time. When F2F happened, I switched to Phoneconsultation because they were local to me. I had a good experience with them. I hope you get your situation straightened out. Good luck.

I had a bad experience with a doc in Hemet three months ago and am thinking of going with them but am not going to go down the road of sending in my money and not being able to get it back - it sounds like that is some sort of contract.

I drove up to Ventura (from the Valley) to see the doc. I am pretty sure that isn't the same doc as in Hemet. The Ventura doctor is a woman, very professional, and her initials are RF. Worth the drive. I was able to make my appointment for a Saturday, which made it easy on my schedule.

I've read the thread and the website but am in a little pain so please excuse me if I miss a detail or two. Can anyone answer any of the following questions?

1) The site says 'neighboring states'. Let's say you are in Mississippi, and Florida is nearby, but Alabama is technically between Mississippi and FL. Will the doc still see you even though your states aren't 'touching' but are close?

2) Sounds great that they can finally do more than the stupid #120 limit that was imposed. I read someone got 150 ct. Is this typical, if your records warrant? Mine do.

3) What's the latest? Can you still refill as per normal, like the old direct-script or regular pharm refill?

4) OK...this one's a little offbeat, but please be honest. If the service hooks you up with a doc, and they are the middleman, can the doctor agree to take you on directly as a patient without worrying about all the paperwork involved with the middleman service once it comes time for another F2F? I understand refills and phone consults happen monthly/quarterly, but I mean after that. You already have a doc/patient relationship, why do you need the service anymore?

5) Are the docs truly compassionate? Do they make you order a bunch of lab tests and expensive MRIs and such, or will they go by your medical records?


Please excuse the NOOBness of my posts. As you can see by my sign up date, I am not new to the ROP game or the IOP game. I was doing this way, way back before many people here even conceptualized such an idea. I've got records spanning over a decade. I will not have a problem producing valid records for a chronic condition.

jskream: I will answer what I can. As for the neighboring states thing, you probably have to ask the customer service. I don't know.
-As for the limit: I can only answer for my case. I got #90, which was what I had been getting previously. All my records indicated it, and I had the empty pill bottles to verify it. Your mileage may vary.
-Refills are just like direct script. I took my script to Walgreens because they carry Watsons, and all was good.
-As for eliminating the service, that isn't going to happen. Consults will happen quarterly, and the service will always be the middleman.
-My doctor was compassionate, and went by my extensive records, my MRI, and a physical exam. My condition is pretty obvious, so the exam told her a lot. No need to order further lab tests because the recent test results are already in my records.

My MO got to PC Monday, but up until today, I have not got 1 call or email from them. I come to find out that they said they had a bad email address for me (odd since Ive emailed them several times.....) Anyway, Im SUPPOSED to be getting a email w/Dr info today? OK, I spoke/w PC finally. I did get the Dr's name, but I still havent got any contact from Dr. I looked up the Doc, and called.... Doc seemed a bit aloof, and bottom line is, I still DONT have a appt. Seems this Dr only sees patients on Thursday or Saturday(!) I HOPE to see the Dr by next Thursday as I have my Grandbaby coming over that Sat. I wish I had read up on the feedback before I pulled the trigger w/this Company

Overall experience turned out good. Total 'process' was about 2 weeks. But overall, was very happy with service and the Dr. PM me if more info needed

I don't know your condition, but Gahanna Family Practice has a good caring PCP. I can not vouch for what you may need though.

Thank you for the reply New4here. I have DDD and am prescribed Norco 10/325, for four years now. I wish I knew for sure, some of these clinics take 2 months to schedule a new patient. I called one yesterday, and they said September!! Whats wrong with this system and could Obama's be any worse possibly?? (for the Country that spends the most per citizen on health care costs.)

Any news on this site? I live in PA so the CW Ohio place would be close to me. Don't know if they will accept me though since I live in PA although their website says they might.

You could write them a email & ask? It will probably take at least a week or so to get an answer, OR you could call leave a message? That will guarantee nobody will call back.

I don't know anything about the Ohio doc, since I am in CA, but I really like this service.

I am seriously looking at this company and most likely will go with them since I regret not going to them back in April.
Sending the MO in threw me a little.
I went with DOD and their Ohio Dr. stinks and shouldn't be allowed to continue without patients knowing his Rules.
Phone consults do not seem to have bad reviews and their threads are quiet which usually means a good thing.

I am still debating it, which is really silly as I was due a reconsult for my previous doctor on Nov 2 and they have apparently disappeared for good now (no one currently on this board). Of course I knew this could happen anytime so I was only taking 1/2 my dose to cover bases. I am thinking I will try but I just HATE having to make that first step. Faxing all the records, calling my GP and asking for the last 9 months worth, calling the pharmacy to get a record of my previous prescriptions.......and then after all that, getting a money order and waiting nervously for possibly weeks to find out if this doctor will actually TREAT me or just send me home with ibuprofen!

Yeah, check with them first. I know the CA doc only is available on two days for consults (and neither one is a Monday.)

I believe you are referring to a blood pressure medication with a generic name of propranolol. The other name you are using is a long-acting form.

Does anyone know if they call your most recent prescribing physician? I have medical records detailing my condition, and was seeing an md for about 4 yrs. But we had a bad misunderstanding and he told me he wasn't comfortable prescribing the pain med I was taking.

More questions...I see a psychiatrist that I've seen for like, 5 years. He prescribes all my mental health meds. They ask at phone consultations, and all F2F clinics that I can see, that you see no other doctors. Will I have to stop seeing my favorite shrink. I was planning to tell them up front so there was no confusion... Thoughts?

I am pretty sure what they mean is that if you receive a med from the F2F doctor, you will not receive the same med from another doctor.
So if you get meds A,B,and C from your favorite shrink, and the F2F doc prescribes med D, then all would be fair.

In my case, the doctor is aware of the other 2 doctors I see. I am upfront about everything. Easier that way, and it keeps everything legal.

You're so right. When I spoke to the doctor to set up the appt, I asked her about that. She was quick to reassure me that I should continue to see any doctors or specialists outside the purview of pain management. Just the typical stipulation not to seek the same medication from another doctor.

They are a trustworthy site. Albeit a little slow to respond. If you order through site I would still send a email requesting a reply. Also, I would fax a copy of the MO as well. Im getting ready for my 2nd F2F here soon. Def rec Phoneconsultaion.com. Just ready to be patient

I had my appt last Tuesday w/Dr F (2nd Yearly F2F visit). All went well. But almost hit a snag after waiting all that time for appt. I got a phone call from Dr when I was 1/2
way there (after MANY miles btw!)This after waiting sooo long for appt, and arranging to take time off work (not EZ), etc. The Dr wanted to reschedule! And I was already out of my meds and a couple of weeks past due. Needless to say I was VERY disappointed (but didnt get pissed). In the end, she agreed to keep appt, and Im a happy customer again.

This is a very good Co if you can prove your condition and is waranted. Which is good for all of us. In conclusion, I would still highly rec P.C. You just have to have PATIENCE, which I admit, is NOT my strong point. If anyone has any specific ?'s, feel free to PM me?

Okay, a little OT but I'll be quick...

Back in the 80's I used to train data entry users and monitor for efficiency.

After completing a screen, the message at the bottom read "Enter <CR> to Continue " (leftover from the typewriter days - carriage return).

I watched one chronically unproductive user search for "C" and "R" then hit the Enter key after each screen.

When I explained the real intent and that she needn't search out "C" and "R" each time, she hit me with infallible logic:

"Well my way works, doesn't it?"
