Hey everyone, just wanted to see how many computer nerds are out there like me... I went laptop shopping a while ago started with an HP dual core 4 megs of RAM, and T6500 intel processor, then turned it back in before my return date was up, found an older macbook on craigslist, played with that for a while but didn't get used to the whole "mac" differences and tried using windows in VMWare and it was soo slow, so I sold that lol (actually made 100 bucks from what I bought it for) and bought a dell similar specs to the HP, I just decided to go all in on Best Buy financing and got a brand new macbook pro, with the extended battery, backlit keyboard, expensive, but i have the knowledge to get software 100% off... and became friend with a techie guy very into apple that told me to put windows on bootcamp, for my issues of compatibility with a small business I own, and some gaming... best thing I ever did, I found a faster HD, upgraded to a 500 GB 7400 RPM, other than the 160gb 5400 rpm it came with, its fast as H***, 2.53 GHZ and I have to say iWork 09' i like WAY better than office 07', I use excel a lot, and Numbers (iWork) is so much better, easier to use... plus I have office for mac, and use entourage for my email, that's my only gripe, I much prefer Outlook, supposedly the new office for mac will get rid of entourage, and outlook will take its place...,

anyway the whole debate is macbook's are overpriced, but what I have found.. number one like i said iWork AWSOME, and you can but windows OS on plus the discs that come with the macbook have most of the drivers you need for vista or xp... mine runs flawlessly, the OS is sooo much cheaper, if you need upgrade, and it comes with much of what you will need, in which with a windows laptop, you have to figure in this software into the price... so personally I have become an "apple head" and my next laptop will be another macbook pro.... plus no viruses... downside is compatibility especially for someone that likes to game like me (Not hardcore, but I will go out and spend 50 bucks on a game every now and then), but theres bootcamp which allow the windows installation and that's free! With the mac, on the discs when you buy it... but you just have to reboot and tell it to start in windows OS not Mac OS... or theres the VMware fusion, but I found those choppy... also these mac bonuses

Mac spotlight vs Windows search
Mac Finder vs windows explorer (not the internet where you look into your HD and navigate it)
The Dock vs The Taskbar....
Spaces!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the BEST MAC tool for multitasking!
The Multitouch 2,3,4 finger action with the track-pad! AMAZING!

These are all things in my experience that make me love Mac OS, and my macbook pro!

The ONE HUGE drawback was no HDMI, I like to download movies and hook my laptop up to my tv (However the 19.99 apple remote works with like every movie viewing program), but I found from kanex, this cable that is HDMI to usb for audio + the mac video cable, so this one cable will connect to HDMI and carry audio and video to your TV, it's new....

So anyone else have opinions, lets hear some other feedback!
